AKA: Strap Hinge with Lag Pintle, Pintle and gudgeon strap hinge
Location: Lewes, Delaware
Additional Information: A Pintel (Alternately spelled Pintle) is a pin which upon receiving a gudgeon creates a pivot point. The gudgeon, on a strap hinge, is very often created from the strap itself being heated and rolled back to form a cylinder with the aid of a sizing pin. Pintels can be attached to a plate and face mounted, attached to a spike and hammered in or attached to a lag screw.
